Absences/Tardiness:
Polices stated in the Stevenson High School student handbook will be followed. In
addition the following guidelines will apply:
- If you have an excused absence it is YOUR responsibility to check for all
missed assignments.
- If you are absent the day before a test you will be expected to take the test with
the rest of the class. TESTS and QUIZZES will be announced well in advance of the
test/quiz date.
- If your absence is unexcused all missed assignments will be recorded as a zero.
Homework Assignment:
Are due at the beginning of the hour. They should be turned into the designated
area upon your arrival to class. A minimal amount will be assigned in this class.
Hall Passes:
Each student will receive 2 hall passes at the beginning of each marking period.
These hall passes can be used at the student’s discretion to take care of student
business. The passes can only be traded in for a planner pass from the students’
planner, not from a neighbor’s planner. If the student does not use these passes
during the marking period, each pass will be worth 20 extra credit points, however
the students will loose 20 points for each unexcused absence and tardy. MAKE GOOD
CHOICES AND USE YOUR PASSES WISELY.
TOO COOL AWARDS:
Students will always be rewarded for appropriate behavior. The “TOO COOL” system
is designed to commend students who follow directions, classroom procedures and
participate in classroom activities and discussions. These awards will be counted
as extra credit at the end of each marking period.
TRADITIONAL Make- up Work and Late Assignments:
Excused absences must be documented within 48 hours in order to receive make-up
work. If you are eligible to make-up a missed assignment you will have two days

- Students will be on TIME (in your seat before the bell rings) and PREPARED (with
the appropriate materials and supplies).
- Students will remain in assigned seats unless they are instructed to move by the
teacher.
- Students will keep their work area clean.
- Students will not EAT or DRINK in the CLASSROOM or COMPUTER LAB.
- Students will REMAIN SEATED until the BELL RINGS.
- Students will not LEAVE the classroom without permission.
**VIOLATION OF THESE EXPECTATIONS WILL RESULT IN APPROPRIATE CONSEQUENCES AS DETERMINED

Cell-phones, pagers, and other electronic devices are not allowed in the classroom.
If you have any of these devices, you are not to use them for any reason. If the
item is SEEN or HEARD it will be confiscated, and held for pick-up by the parent.
This is a business class, every time you walk into this room you are walking into
a business meeting…. you wouldn’t want your cell phone to ring in the middle of
the meeting…. that would be unprofessional!
